We do not accept cheques.
Why does it sometimes take my GP a long time to complete my form?
Time spent completing forms and reports takes the GP away fromthe medical care of their patients. Most GPs work can add up to over 60 hours per week. This type of work must be done outside of the NHS contracted hours such as in their breaks or after their clinics have finished.
I only need the doctor’s signature, what is the problem?
When a doctor signs a certificate, form or report they are legally confirming what they know to be true and it is a condition of them being able to continue practising medicine. Therefore, even when completing the simplest of forms, they need to ensure they have checked the medical records first.
Carelessness can have serious consequences including investigation and suspension by the GMC or even the police.
